The Primeval Rainforest

The primeval rainforest in the Queets River Valley is the Elysian Fields of the Olympics. Those who brave the dangerous river crossing at the road's end, journey into the wildest of wild places. It's here, in the Fall of the year, that the bone-chilling bugle of bull elk in rut pierce through the bottom lands. It's a sound that always leaves me wide-eyed and speechless.
